Congratulations Brad & Angelina!

First and foremost comes my family and my life with Brad. We have so much joy in raising our children and teaching them about the world that nothing really compares to that.
Angelina Jolie

Congratulations to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie! We were thrilled to hear the wedding bells ringing all the way from France where their small, intimate wedding took place on the 23rd of August. They are one of Hollywood’s most popular, most powerful, and most generous couples.

JON-VOIGHT-AND-ANGELINA-JOLIE[1]While I’ve never had the opportunity to meet Brad and Angelina, I did have the privilege of meeting Angelina’s dad, Jon Voight, during one of my many trips to Vegas. I really enjoyed my conversation with Mr. Voight. I was surprised how he candidly shared his concerns about his career as his most recent movie, Runaway Train, had fizzled out at the box office. Many actors go through a slump in their careers; but, being such a talented actor, he made his big comeback in 1996 costarring with Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible. So, for all you Jon Voight fans out there, Mr. Voight is a down-to-earth, really great guy, who is blessed to have a beautiful daughter and a very handsome son-in-law!

Every moviegoer on planet Earth knows that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are box office megastars. Their fans fondly call the couple Brangelina. Just their names alone can guarantee that a picture will have a successful opening. And, they stay very busy traveling the world making big-budget films. Brad’s next film is Fury, an American war film set to open October 17. Angelina is directing the eagerly awaited film Unbroken, which is the true story of an Olympic runner who was taken prisoner by Japanese forces during World War II. Unbroken is a riveting story of God’s grace, mercy, and forgiveness. Unbroken is scheduled to open on Christmas Day.

When Brad and Angelina aren’t making movies, they travel the world using their name and personal wealth in the lives of literally thousands of people in an attempt to make this a better world for the less fortunate. They donated the $5 million they received from the sale of their wedding photos to charity. After hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, Brad founded the Make it Right Foundation to organize affordable housing for those affected by the hurricane, and he and Angelina started the Jolie-Pitt Foundation to aid humanitarian causes around the world. On a personal note, Brad and Angelina take their gift of sharing right into their own home, as they have adopted three children in addition to their their three biological children.

Movie Trivia:
What movie were Brad and Angelina working on when they met? What was Brad and Angelina’s salary for their roles in the film?

Answer: Mr. and Mrs. Smith; they each made $20 million

A special thanks to Leanna Wright for recommending the interview with Angelina Jolie and Louis Zamperini.

Larry, I am always awed be the people you know. Jon Voight has to be a great guy. I seldom disagree with his views.

Brad and Angelina are pretty all right too.
